Cops arrest five after football pitch brawl in Rawang


SUNGAI BULOH: A brawl at a football pitch in Rawang led to five arrests.

When contacted, Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Shafa’aton Abu Bakar confirmed the arrests.

"The case occurred on Jan 5 at 11.21pm. As of now, five arrests have been made to assist investigations," she said.

Those arrested were aged 14 to 39 years old, she said.

The fight was believed to have started after an argument between the two teams.

A complainant attempted to stop the brawl but was attacked by several other players, leading to injuries to the face and neck areas.

Both sides of the scuffle then lodged reports.
